Wrestling News!! Attention anyone interested in wrestling for JDMS this year. There will be an informational meeting for students on November 21st in the wrestling room from 3:15-3:45. The first practice will be December 2nd from 3:15-5:15 in the wrestling room! Contact Mr. Michna with any questions.
Parents and Athletes!! Please remember any individual who participates in a sport at John Deere Middle School needs a yearly physical. If a physical form is not on file in the nurse’s office the athlete is not allowed to participate. This needs to be completed before try outs!!

Volleyball
VOLLEYBALL NEWS!! JDMS will hold two open gyms on August 20th and 21st from 3:15 - 4:30. Please come play a few times before tryouts! The tryouts for 7th and 8th grade girls will be as follows: 8th grade on Thursday August 22nd from 3:30-5:30 and 7th grade on Friday August 23rd from 3:30-5:30. Please wear tennis shoes, kneepads (if you have them) and a shirt with your name on the back if possible. Bring some water and only players trying out are allowed in the gym.

Moline Middle School Swimming
Interested in Swimming? Come join the Moline High School Swimming Feeder Team! Anyone that can swim down and back without stopping and/or touching the bottom will make the team!
Our competitive swim team is dedicated to teaching and developing swimmers of all ages, skill, and competition levels. Led by the Moline High School Swimming Coaching Staff and other experienced coaches, we will provide all swimmers, aspiring and experienced, to have fun, build friendships, and to achieve competitive success. We promote a positive TEAM atmosphere, while learning and developing swimming and life skills. Come try it and like it!
Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment that promotes swimming as a lifelong sport and competitive swimming as an aspect of that sport. We strive to empower every swimmer, regardless of age or ability, to reach his or her highest potential, both as an athlete and as a person.

Moline Middle School Swimming Team
John Deere Middle School and Wilson Middle School swimming team consists of any 6th, 7th or 8th grade girl or boy who would like to participate. Practices are held at the Moline High School Pool. Practices and swim meets are held during the month of March. The high school coaching staff will provide a schedule for practices and meets. There are informational handouts available in the athletic office.
*Must have a physical and $10 athletic fee paid.
*Bring a swimsuit, goggles, and towel to practices and meets.
*Need to be at practice to be able to compete in meets.
*For safety purposes, athletes must be able to swim down and back the entire length of the pool without stopping and/or touching the bottom.
